I'm Back
What happened?
Hey all, it's been a long time since I wrote a post... since July π³. I had many things going on during the summer, and then once I got back into my routine in September I didn't make space for writing posts or anything, and here we are. I think I feel some sort of pressure to make it a really long or awesome post, but I'm just going to write some stuff. I want this to be a chill site, not a "Koby's well thought out essays" page.
What's up?
Recently I've hard a hard time prioritizing the things that I want to do. In contrast to how wonderful I made hyperfocus sound in an earlier post, sometimes it can make it so the one thing I'm obsessed with takes away from the rest of the things that I want. To be honest, I can get quite sad if I think about this too much. I haven't been writing any music, or studying any Japanese, or (obviously) working on this website. Not to despair, my life is great! God has blessed me in so many ways, I am so thankful for my marriage to Kiden, my community at church, I'm thankful for the change in seasons and more "cozy gaming".
By the grace of God, I feel like I'm standing back up to manage my time (and brain) better so I can give an appropriate amount of time to everything again (hence me writing a post finally). And you know what, I can write more posts to tell you guys about it to keep myself on track πͺ
Wow, what has happened since my last post? I got to go to Japan!!! I got to attend my friend's wedding in Boston, I got promoted, I built a new keyboard, I'm back on a "smart"phone π (I still have no browser, no social media, no YouTube, etc). I'm now in charge of the worship ministry at Mosaic Eastside, which is a whole new thing.
Maybe I should just include some pics and give you guys some visuals. I'm keeping this post low-pressure, right?

I just build this keyboard, it's called a "corne". It was a long time coming but I'm so happy.

I hosted a "Mahjong Nite" and taught my friends how to play Mahjong. I'll have another one soon.

This is us in Japan playing Mahjong in the hotel lobby. Left to right is Edison, Sophia, Kiden, and me.

Here is a picture of Boston, I've never been in a historical US city before, it was very cool.

This is a samurai house Kiden and I visited in Kanazawa. It was so beautiful. I loved how you can just sit in the backyard and look at the garden. Maybe we'll have a house like this someday (God willing).

I dressed up as Howl for Halloween. It was so funny to have my hair straightened.

This is at a river in Kyoto. We were not around the busy part of town, so this river walk was serene (it was also blazing hot, but you know I love that).
Thanks for reading this post. I will be posting more, I am not going to be a perfectionist about it anymore, sorry.
